Problem

The pandemic effect and the great resignation has hit nursing hard, leaving a shortage of nurses having to work over time. The idea is not to implement technologies for nurses to sit and type, but rather to free the nurse from e.g getting a glass of water to ensure the nurses deliver the highest value in clinical interaction so that they can treat more patients. And one problem was how to display existing electronic health records on an automated display with clear information from existing health records ( EHRs) and updates in real-time, promoting efficiency between the hospital teams.

Solutions

The hospitals across the USA have implemented Glory Star’s 10inch Nebula Plus device running on an Android Platform, with a crisps 400 nit brightness display including a license-free STAROS kiosk lockdown app that allows the hospital to lock down their application on the device without allowing third party access. The device is wall mountable with VESA mounting standard. At the same time, the hospitals implemented Star Control remote management software to update the apps, contents and webpages remotely, allowing a centralized management of devices allowing a paperless operation.
